I AM A TEACHER...

Picture
I was born the first moment that a question leaped from the mind of a child. I have been many people in many places.

I am Socrates exciting the youth of Athens to discover new ideas through the use of questions.

I am Anne Sullivan tapping out the secrets of the universe into the outstretched hand of Helen Keller.

I am Aesop and Hans Christian Andersen revealing truth through countless stories. The names of those who have practiced my profession ring like a hall of fame for humanity…Hear their voices… Aristotle, Plato, Confucius, Booker T. Washington, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Moses…and oh so many more.

But there is one teacher whose name stands above all others; his peers called him Rabbi. Hear the only voice who spoke ultimate truth.  In Life He role-modeled amazing Grace and in death Jesus demonstrated unfailing Love.  He
is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end;  His resurrection confirms both His humanity and His deity.  Hear His voice:

I am Jesus…I am a Teacher who instructs with love and truth…and what I teach will be written in the hearts and minds of my children forever.  As a teacher, I daily do battle against negative peer pressure, fear, conformity,  prejudice, apathy,
ignorance…and evil. Follow me.
