The Children Lord...

Picture
Matthew 18:3 – Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

The Children Lord...

Are you sure you would have us become as one?

 They cannot discuss the really
  Important things

             Of life:

            Government and Economics

        Science and Theology

       Philosophy and Psychology

            War and Peace

The Children Lord…

How clear their voices break through and into our world.
Voices powered by minds that have

    Not yet been taught

    The difference between:
                                                       Conditional and Unconditional Love
                                                       Wish and Hope
                                                       Want and Need
                                                       Pretend and Real

The Children Lord…

Their behavior interrupts our scheduled lives.

                    They do not understand

       The necessary distinction between:

                                                      Work and Play
                                                      Young and Old
                                                      Saint and Sinner

The Children Lord…

The things they cannot do far outweigh the things they can.
              Jesus…W
hy they can’t even hold a grudge!

But then, They’re only Children Lord.

Reflection Stories Note:  I am a father, a grandfather, an educator, a writer, and a follower of Christ.  And, I believe we must re-examine the way we have chosen to organize the family structure since the beginning of time.  Authoritarianism is not the only system of family government.  Parents MUST learn a new right way of dealing with their children and teenagers, if the family is to survive this century intact.

Dreamer?  Yes, I admit it—My dream is to see the families of America begin to recognize the equal worth and significant contribution of each family member.

The great Wizard smiled and took a pair of pretty silver slippers out of his pocket.  “These are truly magic,” he said, “Put them on, and they’ll take you wherever you want to go”.  The magic silver slippers are in our hand:  We can put on the shoes of EQUALITY – Our Families can be operational democracies.  Seek and learn…for the sake of your children.
