One Man’s Vision…
One man’s vision goes beyond time and place.
It dwells behind the chamber doors of his mind only to be unlocked
By the constant and continual search for where he is going
And the discovery of what he has become.
One man’s vision will lead many to a promised land.
A land where successes are measured by overcoming
The many trials and failures of trying.
One man’s vision can become clouded by daily struggles.
Where the journey and the never ending battle of leading the reluctant
Eats at the core of his tiring soul.
One man’s vision can be lost in the grumblings of wandering fools
Who don’t know they’re being lead through a desolate desert of despair
To a clear pool of hope-giving water.
One man’s vision can give the morrow its only chance at success
When it’s swept away by the rejuvenating joys of family, love, and life.
...and a new opportunity is born...farewell good friend.

Reflection Stories Note: This poem was given to Dr. Gary F. Hartman by a close friend and high school teacher when Gary retired as Superintendent of the Yreka Union High School District in Yreka, California. It reminds all of us that it is far better to acknowledge
the life and good works of a friend when we can.
Flowers wilt and life moves on...but simple words of thanks and recognition last forever.

Luke 17: 11 - 19 - Ten Lepers cried out, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us"...as they went they were cleansed of their Leprosy...One who saw that he was healed came back to Jesus shouting, "Praise God!"...Jesus asked, "Didn't I heal 10 men? Where are the other nine?"...
