Ladybug Rescue Poem...

  The alfalfa looked healthy,
     Lush and deep green.
God’s in His heaven,
     All’s right it would seem.
  Art Leisy worked hard
     To provide for his wife.
     Five children, good farm land,
   This was the life!

   The rain-birds were singing
    Their rhythmic beat,
     Bap-Bap marked their cadence,
     Thirsty crops gained relief.
    From all indications,
     This crop yield might beat
    Last year’s production
     Of spuds, hay and wheat.

   But life has surprises,
     Sudden storms can appear
    And then without warning
  A crisis is here.
 Aphids in the hay field!
  Bring worry and strife.
Threatening security
 Of children and wife.

We need this crop God!
     Art and Deaun cried out,
Increase our faith Lord,
    Remove fear and doubt.

   With hands raised toward heaven
    And hearts in accord
They transferred their crisis
To the will of the Lord.

The new dawn’s report
At the first light of day
Aphids still rampant,
 Devouring the hay.

    Now comes the hard part,
   Replace worry with trust.
We must stand on His promise
     To be faithful and just.

   Stay Strong!  Hold the fort!
         His word prevails.
      Where faith abounds,
         Love never fails.

On the third day, the rescue
     The alfalfa was spared…
       Millions of Ladybugs!
       They’re everywhere!

Art ran to share good news,
     They danced with delight.
          Aphids defeated!
           Hope is in sight.

         The alfalfa recovered,
There was food for the herd.
       The road map to recovery
          Is found in God’s word.

       Though crisis’  will come
         And shake to the core,
          Your very existence
         But wait, there is more.

        Seek, ask and knock,
     Your prayers are all heard.
      God listens to your heart.
         He hears every word.

      Then God will take action
          He will do His part.
        The ladybug rescue
      Awaits your open heart.
